Give Kids A Chance is offering scholarship grants in the amount of $1,000 to high school seniors planning to attend college. The scholarship will be offered to those students graduating from public high schools in the State of Florida. Requirements include: Requirements for scholarship:

a. Must have a 2.5 average or above
b. Must document financial need - eligible students must have a family income
which is less than 60% of the median income in the area in which they reside
c. Demonstrate an interest in school and community activities
d. Application must be received on or before April 30, 2018
e. Two (2) letters of recommendations are required

The Optimist Club of Jackson County is offering a one year scholarship to Chipola College which will cover tuition and/or books. A completed application must be submitted by May 1, 2018.  Please see guidance for the application documents and all requirements.

Farm Credit of Northwest Florida is offering six $1,500 scholarships to high school seniors within its chartered territory. Two students in each region (list below) will receive a scholarship. Preference will be given to students pursuing a career in Agriculture, Forestry, Horticulture, or Veterinary Medicine. Scholarships are awarded to applicants based on academic aptitude, vocational promise, personal attributes, and leadership qualities. The Johnson Scholarship Foundation is offering scholarship aid to two dofferent groups of students to attend colleges in Florida starting the Fall Semester of 2018.  

#1 Students with disabilities who attend/will attend one of the twelve (12) State universities. Application deadline is March 1st.  Application can be downloaded at www.jsf.bz and is titled State University System of Florida application (scroll down to bottom of page). Questions about the JSF program should be directed to the appropriate university campus contact listed on the last page of the application.

Biletnikoff Scholarship award gives out over $800,000 in scholarship money to students residing in counties in North Florida (Leon, Madison, Jefferson, Wakulla, Gadsden, Liberty, Calhoun, Gulf, Franklin, and Jackson). We are seeking high quality applicants (minimum GPA requirement of a 3.0) to apply for our scholarship. Its important to note that the smallest scholarship we give out is $7,000 and our highest around $14,000. We, in addition, offer housing stipends of up to $50,000. The Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship can be applied for at www.jackierobinson.org. The JRF application is the vehicle through which more than 4,000 talented young minority high school students apply to become JRF Scholars and carry on the civic-minded legacy of the Foundation's namesake, Jackie Robinson.

To be eligible for a Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship, an applicant must:
• Be a graduating, minority high school senior
• Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States
• Show leadership potential
• Demonstrate a dedication to community service
• Present evidence of financial need
• Be a United States citizen
• Have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21
• Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4-year college when applying for the scholarship

 

Athnet Sports Recruiting Scholarship. Available toU ndergraduates who were athletes at the high school level. You do not need to be an athlete at the college level. Application Deadline: June 1st. 2017-18 Scholarship InformationThe AXA Achievementsm Scholarship offers college scholarships of $2,500, $10,000 and $25,000 to high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, the community or the workplace. Florida State University is pleased to present the application for the Service Scholar Program. The Service Scholar Program recognizes select incoming students with an outstanding record of community service and leadership, and who want to continue that commitment at FSU. The Program benefits include a $3,000 scholarship per year for UP TO four years, participation in a service-learning academic curriculum, exposure to a diverse group of individuals and social issues, and support by faculty and staff. The Hagan Scholarship is a need-based merit scholarship for high achieving, self-motivated students in need of financial assistance to attend college. These students will graduate from a public high school located in a county in the United States having fewer than 50,000 residents. Over three hundred new scholarships will be awarded in April 2018. Students are now invited to apply for our 2018 - 2019 Visionary Scholarship. All high school students (grades 9-12) are eligible to apply. Deadline is May 1, 2018. All applications for the American College Foundation ("ACF") Visionary Scholarship Program will consist of: 1) a completed ACF Visionary Scholarship Application, 2) a copy of the student's most recent unofficial high school transcript, 3) a 500 word, typed, double-spaced essay. All components of the application must be received for a student to be eligible for an award. Applications are judged on the ability to follow guidelines (25%), grammar and punctuation (25%), and the merit of the written essay (50%). Applicants must be United States Citizens or Eligible Non-Citizens and may be asked to participate in a qualification interview as part of the application process to assist the ACF in ultimately determining the winners. Awards range from $1,000 - $5,000 each; with multiple winners to be selected. Each award is a non-renewable, one-time award and is to be used exclusively to offset costs and fees related directly to the student's first year of higher post-secondary education at an accredited institution of the student's choosing within the United States. SunTrust Off to College Scholarship Sweepstakes.  Two $500 scholarship winners will be randomly chosen every two weeks beginning on or about October 30, 2017 until May 14, 2018.  Starting September 12, 2017, students can enter online once each entry period.   Click here to register and learn more.  

The Wendy's High School Heisman recognizes 2 winners-one male athlete and one female athlete-from each state. Winning the Wendy's High School Heisman Scholarship requires a GPA of 3.0 or better, participation in at least one school-sponsored sport, and demonstrated leadership at school and in the community. The Florida JCI Senate Foundation grants two $1000.00 scholarships to graduating high school seniors who plan to continue their education at accredited post-secondary colleges, universities, or vocational schools. These scholarships are based on academic performance. We also grant a $1000.00 based on academic performance and financial need. Beginning in September of each year the foundation distributes to schools and board of educations throughout Florida the necessary application forms for determination of the recipients of scholarship grants.
