  About The School

Cottondale High School - Est. 1925

Cottondale High School is the center of activity in the small town of Cottondale. Primarily a farming community, Cottondale is located just fifteen miles south of the Florida-Alabama line and 45 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico, at the convergence of three of the busiest highways in the Panhandle: US Highway 90, US Highway 231, and Interstate 10. As such, many visitors pass through Cottondale on a daily basis.

A combination middle and high school, Cottondale High School was founded in 1925 and was housed in its original building until 2002, at which time the school moved into its new main building built on the original location. The primary school building surrounds an enclosed central courtyard and is adequate in size to meet the educational needs of its students and faculty. Cottondale High School is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. The administration, faculty, and staff of CHS continually commit themselves to meeting the needs of the students we serve. Together, we are dedicated to working with the students, families, and community, building a brigher future for all of us one child at a time.
